Robotics Engineer
At VACATIO Hotel Samseong, an autonomous delivery robot takes a request made in the app or at the kiosk, rides the elevator between floors, and brings amenities and room service to the guest’s door. We do not build the robots ourselves. What we do is connect the robots we bring in to the elevators, the door locks and the Vacatio Solution PMS, and turn them into a service that completes without staff.
That connection — automating the last 30 meters between the front desk and the room — is the heart of VACATIO Robotics today, and next we are preparing to bring in humanoid robots that work alongside people, beyond delivery. This role builds those connections and keeps them running, every day, in a hotel with real guests in it.

A hotel we run ourselves — the living lab where we prove what we build alongside real guests. It opens formally in October 2026.

We now process over ₩50B in transaction volume a year, thousands of properties run on our service, we have raised ₩6B, and we have stayed operationally profitable for two consecutive years. What you'll do
- Integrate the service robots we bring in with elevators, door locks and facility control, so that moving between floors and reaching the door completes without anyone stepping in.
- Design and build the flow that turns a request from the app or kiosk, through the Vacatio Solution PMS, into a delivery job for the robot.
- Set up the robots’ routes and operating scenarios on site at VACATIO Hotel Samseong, and refine them by watching how people actually move through the building.
- Monitor how the robots are running and where they fail, and when something goes wrong, find the cause on site and fix it.
- Evaluate new robots we plan to bring in, such as humanoids, and work out how to deploy them in our spaces and systems.
- Agree integration specs with robot manufacturers and facility vendors, and write them down as technical documentation.
What we look for
- You have integrated robots or IoT devices with outside systems and run them in a real environment.
- You have written software, in Python, C++ or similar, that controls hardware or talks to devices.
- You understand network communication such as REST APIs and WebSockets, and how systems are wired together.
- You are at home on Linux, and you can narrow a hardware problem down by splitting it into software, network and mechanical causes.
- You would rather solve problems hands-on, on site, than from behind a desk.
- You are comfortable working across disciplines.
Nice to have
- You have worked with robots built on ROS or ROS 2.
- You understand SLAM, path planning and sensor setups for autonomous mobile robots.
- You have integrated with building systems such as elevators or access control.
- You have deployed robots in spaces full of people — hotels, logistics, retail.

Listing out specialties often makes us self-conscious — what we thought was our edge frequently turns out to be an edge in one particular environment only. So we look less at who ticks the boxes and more at who we can be with for the long run.
Honestly, this is not a team that is only comfortable. The direction changes often and there is a lot of work. We do not take that for granted, so we try hard to reward contribution as it comes. What carried us through the chaotic stretches, in the end, was trust in each other.
